MSG approves PH-EITI Work Plan for 2018

During its 50th meeting, the MSG agreed to nominate and authorize sector representatives to fast-track the finalization of the PH-EITI Work Plan for 2018, a critical tool that lays out the organization’s programs, projects, and activities for the year and helps monitor their progress.​

Notwithstanding the extended period of approving the work plan, the Secretariat assured the MSG that the regular or recurring activities of the organization were already being carried out. Preparations for the PH-EITI National Conference, for instance, were underway.

Previous work plans grouped activities according to the five main objectives of PH-EITI. For 2018, the activities are classified according to five core programs. This is in  recognition of the reality that some activities address two or more objectives at the same time. This new format was unanimously approved during the 49th MSG Meeting on February 9, 2018.

The work plan is published online on the PH-EITI website and submitted to the EITI International Secretariat as well as to the DOF and the World Bank as the initiative’s funders.
